JW Dental Legal News is the inspiration of Joyce Weinman, a former dental hygienist and educator who is now a practicing Toronto lawyer. The first issue of this publication came out on April of 1996. Since then, it has provided legal advice on dental insurance, employment, workplace safety, divorce and other patient or dentist-related legal matters.

Originally mailed quarterly and independently financed, JW Dental is a resource for dentists, dental hygienists, dental technicians, patients, lawyers and professional associations and colleges.

In its pages, JW Dental Legal News deals with legal issues such as dental malpractice lawsuits stemming from dental implants, dental negligence, dental insurance, family law and dental business tips.

JW Dental’s online edition is the result of the immediate success this publication enjoyed in its first year, and is a joint project with D-Tech Consulting which allows readers to speak their mind, receive legal tips from Toronto lawyers and keep up-to-date with the latest legal developments regarding employment, dental insurance, liability, and other dentist-related legal matters.

My Children and I

Toronto lawyer Joyce Weinman is a graduate of the Dalhousie Law School. She is also a graduate of the University of Toronto’s School of Dental Hygiene. The combination of her own experience in the dental industry and her on-going success representing dentists and other dental professionals and patients has earned her a reputation as one of the most knowledgeable and respected Toronto lawyers when it comes to dealing with dental legal issues. Her practise includes health law, family and matrimonial law, personal injury and professional negligence. She frequently represents professionals in discipline-related proceedings before colleges governed by the Regulated Health Professions Act of Ontario.
